The nerdy bit: where our breed info comes from
The breed details you see in the app — group, country of origin, life expectancy — come straight from the Royal Kennel Club, the UK's official word on all things dog breed. If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for us.
Not every dog in TAD has an official Kennel Club stamp. Crossbreeds, hybrids and mixed breeds — think Cockapoo, Labradoodle, Lurcher — have been slotted in as accurately as we can manage, based on their heritage, purpose and generally accepted classification. Consider it an educated guess rather than an official ruling.

We review reports and update things where needed.
We refresh our breed photos monthly and we're always up for a good submission. Keep them well lit, clear, and in a similar style to what's already in the app. Got a photo for a breed we already feature, or one we're missing entirely? Send it our way.
Every submission gets reviewed before it goes live. By submitting, you're confirming this good boy or girl is yours — or that you've got the owner's blessing to send in their photo.
